Futures Planning: Advance Directives

Learn about advance directives. What are they? How does it work?

An advance directive tells your doctor and caregivers what kind of care you would like to receive if you have become unable to make medical decisions. There are two types of advance directives: a Living Will and a designation of health care surrogate form, also know as Durable Health Care Power of Attorney.
