The Community Resource Center
is located at 906 Trailview Blvd., S.E., Suite C, Leesburg, VA
20175 . The center provides information about mental health,
mental retardation and substance abuse for consumers and their
families, residents and employees of Loudoun County, students

The Adaptive Recreation
Programs provide recreational activities to youth and adults
who are physically and mentally disabled. The specific
activities are designed for individuals to function at their
fullest potential when participating in activities developed
with their specials needs in mind. The focus of the program is
on the participant’s ability.
Adaptive Recreation offers many programs that include, but are
not limited to: Special Olympics, VSA arts, day camp, sled
hockey, developmental sports programs, social clubs, classes,

IEP4U.COM has over 4000 free
Goals and Objectives (IEP-ITP) each with changeable benchmarks.
The Idea Statements are spread out over seven subjects (Domains)
and four functional levels. Teachers, parents and students can
now access objectives directly from this Web Site.
The Virginia Coalition for
Students with Disabilities LEGAL ADVOCACY CENTER ("LAC") has
developed materials addressing Extended School Year (ESY)
Services. The materials provide parents with a brief legal
history of ESY Services as well as tips for maximizing their
child's chances of receiving such services.

The Office on Youth (OOY)
provides delinquency prevention and youth development services
to Loudoun young people and their families. It is the only
county agency charged with primary prevention as opposed to
working with identified problem populations. In Loudoun, the OOY
has offered the Big Friends program and Systematic Training for
Effective Parenting. OOY also produces the Youth and Family
Resource Guide, a resource no parent
