What is Larc ?
Larc is a
private 501(c)(3) non-profit agency located in Loudoun County,
Virginia. The organization was founded by families seeking to
help themselves and each other over 40 years ago.
Larc is one of over 900 local chapters of
The Arc and
is also involved with
The
Arc of Northern Virginia.

What is Larc's Mission?
Our mission is to advocate for
persons with intellectual disabilities and related developmental
disabilities by promoting individual support and equitable
participation with their non-disabled peers in all aspects of
community life including Education, Housing, Vocation and Health
Care.
How many persons does Larc
serve?

4500 persons receive information or aid directly

Larc advocates for the legislative rights of
about 15% of the population.

Aurora School
How Does Larc Get Funding?
Larc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
tax-exempt corporation. Larc relys primarily on donations from
the community, grants, membership, business sponsorship and
fund-raising events.
According to the latest U.S.
Census Bureau forecasts, Loudoun's population was nearly 191,000
in July 2001 - 21,304 people moved into the county since the
2000 count.
We need your help! Larc must grow
to be able to support Loudoun's increasing population. To learn
more about assisting Larc in it's work of strengthening and
supporting our community through:

Directions
to Larc:
From the Cascades area, take
Rt. 7 toward Leesburg. Take a left at Cardinal Park Drive
(right before the bypass). There is a Honda-Toyota dealership
on the left hand side. Go two blocks, turn right on Trail View
Rd. Go Past the FAA building and down the hill. At the stop
sign, turn left on Lawson Rd. You will pass a Vet office on the
left. Our building is a single story brick building on the
right.
